Worshiping Abroad

Today I leave for a professional development trip to the UK & the USA. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to spend a few weeks at two internationally renowned conferences whilst interacting with and learning from numerous inspirational people.

I arrive in London tomorrow and spend the evening with the leadership team at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB). My week involves attending rehearsals, spending time with worship leaders and song writers like Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Luke Hellebronth and Matt Redman, plus learning from incredible leaders such as Nicky Gumbel, Rick Warren and Mike Pilavachi. The conference in London is Holy Trinity Brompton’s Leadership Conference at the Royal Albert Hall.

Following the London conference I’ll be flying to the USA, stopping briefly in New York prior to attending the National Worship Leaders Conference in Virginia. This is a specialised conference for ministering persons in the creative arts. There are world renowned speakers and fascinating seminars to enjoy over several days. For those of you who remember a former Northside Worship Pastor Tim Foot, I’ll be seeing him at the conference too.

Finally, I fly to LA on the way back to Sydney to connect with one of our largest churches in California (Eastside) and I’ll be connecting with some musicians whilst I’m there.
This trip was made possible by Northside and a scholarship from Churches of Christ NSW. I’m so grateful for this experience and for the opportunity to learn from some of the most influential church leaders and creative people in the world. I look forward to sharing some of the insights with you and our Worship & Creative Arts team on my return.

Love to you all…
