We had the absolute joy last month in seeing our Auditorium filled with over 150 highly excitable Year 9 school youth in a conference held by a not for profit organization. The sole purpose of this organization is to provide positive education and leadership development for young people around Australia.
With a low budget they could not afford catering but used our Auditorium for the state of art AV to introduce several of their awe inspiring speakers to challenge the youth to dream big, seek out and grab opportunities and to be a positive, contributing citizen of society. For instance instead of schoolies, an alternative may be a visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia where the youth would still spend mornings exploring the country’s unique attractions and afternoons helping at a local community school.
It was such a privilege as part of our contribution to community that we were able to offer a discount to this client in order that they can afford to meet at our great facility…their comments….’’ must say the experience at Northside Conference Centre is the best I have ever experienced at a function. I am so proud of our conference staff who work continuously to deliver this outstanding service to all our clients. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce two new additions on staff for the forthcoming maternity relief year.
Patrick Rose has been appointed to Front of House Events Coordinator who started with us on 23 June. He comes to us with significant experience in hospitality and his past roles included Assistant and then Acting F&B Manager with Roseville Golf Club and Catering Manager with the Manly Golf Club as well as Operations Manager with the State Library of NSW.
Janabel Talens has been appointed to the Sales & Events Coordinator role effective 01 May. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management and majored in events management from the International College of Management, Manly.Both individuals come with an excellent recommendation from previous employers and we are very blessed to have them join us at Northside. With their professionalism and dedication we will continue to deliver the ‘above and beyond’ Northside difference.
