Thought of the Week

Don’t we all have an IKEA building story? That time when we put together a chest of drawers deciphering pictures and a million pieces of timber? When we didn’t quite have the right tools, but somehow we worked together to make it work!

When I think to a child’s perspective of trying to do something I’m reminded how often their words of “me do it” or “my turn” are mentioned and how easy it can be for us to just do something on our own. God designed us not only to need each other, but also to need Him and that’s exactly why next month Northside Kids are talking all about Cooperation – working together to do more than you can do alone. Our memory verse in Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us that “Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.”

Cooperation is huge when you think about it. Together you can learn more, do more, discover more and laugh more. Together we can do far more than we can ever do alone.
