Thought of the Week

We’re fast approaching Christmas, one of the best times of the year for some yet one of the most difficult for others – every person with a different story. In the Christian calendar it is undoubtedly one of the most significant moments and one theme of advent (the lead up to Christmas) is love.

Love is a small word that yields so much meaning. We learn that love is one of the most significant messages of the New Testament. Throughout the life of Jesus we see one who personified love unconditionally. His love doesn’t just extend to you and me; the message of Christmas reminds us He came for all. You might find the encouragement in the famous words of the Apostle Paul when he wrote:

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither
the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

(Rom 8:38-39)

This Christmas season I am also convinced there are so many people in our lives that desperately need to know this truth. Will you share this good news?
