Many of us know the age old saying, “patience is a virtue” and some of us also know that patience is listed by the Apostle Paul as one of the nine fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.
Therefore it’s fair to say there is little room to dispute that Christians ought to be patient. Despite this, it’s not uncommon for Christians to give into the urge to use the car horn towards a very poor driver, or lacking patience when exposed to long queues, slow shop checkout assistants (a personal struggle of mine), flight delays, slow internet, and the list goes on.
Much has been written on this topic, so I’ll simply encourage you to reflect on Sam’s message last week on worship. Would you agree there is a double standard if we use one breath to glorify Christ and another to yell at a slow driver? It’s worth thinking about this week and perhaps a message worth accessing via our website, mobile app or iTunes feed.
