Thought of the Week

Last week we learned that you can’t fully see yourself apart from community. Some may say, “Yes I can, I have a thing called a mirror that I looked at this morning.”  You may have a mirror for your looks, but what do you have for your character?

Hebrews 3:13 says, “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness”. Our own self-centredness (or sin as the Bible defines it) blinds us to the reality of who we are!

Here’s how to counteract that… have some people whom you see often to catch you just being you! Do you have people in your life, or relationships in the church that are that close? Hopefully we are seeing that real Biblical community is regularly doing life together.

If you desire to know God and be changed for the better, the best context for that change is in a small group. Register at or in the foyer after the service.
