On Monday I paid my first ever visit to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse (I’m not sure how I’ve been able to call myself a Sydney-sider without going there!). By the time I climbed down, it was clear what God was talking to me about: single-mindedness.
Isn’t it so easy to become single-minded in our pursuit of the wrong things? To be single-minded in the pursuit of wealth, or status, or achievement, or education, or romance, or education – but not of God?
What if, as a community, we resolved to be single-minded in our pursuit of God, knowing that in Jesus He has single-mindedly pursued us?
