We’re a contemporary urban church in Crows Nest on the lower North Shore of Sydney.
Following Jesus is at the heart of everything we do.
Faith always comes with questions!
Wherever you may be at, we won’t ask you to check your brain at the door. All we ask is an open heart and an open mind.
If Jesus is who he says he is then there must be more to life than the world we see around us.
Sam Haddon, Senior Pastor
Living-out authentic Christianity
If we’ve got this thing right (and we know we’re not perfect!) then you should find a place where you’ll experience a genuine openness when you arrive, relationships that will last for life, courage you didn’t think you had and hope that fuels you through the tough times.
We want to help you navigate the challenges of life in a busy city by making Sydney feel that little bit smaller.
So, what’s brought you here?
Are you looking for a spiritual home?
Yearning for a deeper sense of purpose?
Searching for somewhere you belong?
Hey, that means you have something in common with the rest of us! Welcome to contemporary life.
This is Northside
Check us out and see what you think. You may be pleasantly surprised. You may find we can help you discover the resources to deal with the tough stuff.
At work, in your relationships, your values and beliefs, or just doing life. You may find Northside is that place where you belong.
What to expect
Will I stick out?
It is not unusual for us to have around a dozen first-time guests at any of our services. So if you are thinking about visiting us this Sunday, you won’t be alone. Our goal is to make you feel welcome. So don’t worry, we won’t single you out or embarrass you as being ‘a first-timer’.
You’ll be surprised how easily you’ll fit right in. When you arrive drop by our ‘Starting Point stand’ to meet a friendly face and find out more about us.
What should I wear?
If you dress casually, you’ll fit right in.
What should I expect from the service?
Our Sunday services last for just over an hour. We begin with contemporary worship songs. The words are projected onto screens so you can sing or read along or just enjoy the music. There will also be times for prayer, the taking of communion, an offering (which guests are in no way obligated to participate in), and a short message.
After the morning service you’re welcome to join us for a friendly get-together over an espresso coffee and snacks. We also hold a dinner every fortnight after the evening service.
What about my kids?
We know that as a parent you need to be sure that your children are in a SAFE learning environment. We want kids to have FUN at church as well. We’ll take care of both of these concerns. During our Sunday morning services there are supervised activities for kids from walking age right up to year six. We also have a youth program for teenagers.
To ensure the highest quality of safety, all our kids’ church and youth leaders are trained and qualified. There is also a Parents’ Room suitable for nursing, baby changing and infant play.
How will I find my way around?
You’ll find a number of people in the foyer who will welcome and direct you to any part of our facility. If in doubt, look for the Starting Point stand or Information Desk. There you’ll find a friendly face ready to answer most of your questions about our services and ways to get you connected into the life of our church
If you are still unsure about anything, just ask and chances are someone will be able to help you.
