Reflections//

This March will be 11 years since Northside moved into our facility.  We are currently looking at refurbishment plans which includes possibly updating walls, carpet, painting, toilets, etc, and all the useful emerging technologies that make this facility such a wonderful place of worship and a 5 star conference centre.

Running a dual-purpose facility with the church and conference centre side-by-side is not without its daily challenges.  Noise from developments in Clarke and Pole Lanes and surrounding Oxley and Albany Streets, and now in Pacific Highway with the new Crows Nest Metro station means we have to deal with jack hammering, concrete trucks, pumps and semi-trailer deliveries from 7am to 5pm (not to mention plumbing and flooding issues from the 8 stories of residents above us!).

In spite of all the above challenges, we have continued to welcome all manner of corporate and not-for-profit organisations who have been blessed by our amazing conference centre team delivering ‘above and beyond’ service with a smile, and quite often going the extra mile in hailing taxis, carrying luggage or making a special coffee to the delight of our conference centre clients. We have a very loyal clientele who consistently comment favorably on our service and who would refer our facility to other businesses.

It is my fervent prayer and hope that the church will join me in continuing to pray for God’s provision for our ongoing valuable conference ministry, and for each and everyone who enter our doors to experience the joyful “Northside difference”, our “church” to the community from Monday to Saturday.

“Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.”
Phil 3:13-14.
