Each week I have the awesome privilege of going into high schools on the lower north shore of Sydney. I have the opportunity to teach scripture, share the Good News of Jesus, and I also get to teach and play sport.
Every time I enter a school, I look and pray for opportunities to build relationships with young people and share God’s love. I am very blessed and thankful that these kinds of opportunities still exist in our increasingly secular nation.
Two years ago, God placed on my heart ‘North Shore Schools For Christ’. Since this day, God has provided the passion and endurance to keep doing kingdom work at local schools. He has imprinted something within my DNA to care for the young people of Sydney and keeps giving me new enthusiasm to share the gospel with them. By no means is this an easy task but I hold onto the promise in Romans 8 “If God is for us who can be against us?”
We all know there is so much need out there and you simply can’t miss it when you step into the local schools. Let’s pray for the young people in this area, and the rest of Australia, that God will work in their lives and raise up the next generation of Christians that are passionate and on fire for God’s kingdom.
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Pray to the God of the harvest that He would raise up more workers for the harvest field.” Matthew 9:37-38
