Be Rich란?
Be Rich는 단순합니다. 나누고, 섬기고, 우리 문 앞에 있는 이웃을 사랑하는 것입니다. 올봄 우리는 이미 우리 동네에서 묵묵히 좋은 일을 해 온 일곱 곳의 지역 단체를 재정과 손길로 함께 돕습니다.
Be Rich는 두 가지가 함께 가는 일입니다. 재정으로 후원하고, 섬김 주일에 함께 나가 섬기는 일에 신청하세요. 둘 다 하는 것이 바로 핵심이며, Northside 교인이 아니어도 참여할 수 있습니다.
선을 행하고 선한 사업을 많이 하고 나누어 주기를 좋아하며 너그러운 자가 되게 하라.
첫 번째
여러분의 나눔은 우리 가까이에서 위기 가운데 있는 여성과 아이들, 그리고 현대판 노예제의 생존자들을 돌보는 세 단체의 사역에 쓰입니다. 한 번의 후원이든 매달의 후원이든, 할 수 있는 만큼이면 충분합니다.
두 번째
Sunday 15 November 2026, 우리는 평소의 주일 예배를 내려놓고 일거리를 듭니다. 모든 연령의 팀이 네 파트너 단체와 함께 현장으로 나갑니다. 선물 바구니와 환영 꾸러미 포장, 베이킹, 정원 가꾸기, 세차까지 함께합니다. 신청해 주시면 자세한 내용을 안내해 드리겠습니다.
섬김 주일
Sunday 15 November 2026에는 평소의 주일 예배 대신 밖으로 나가 섬깁니다. 나이와 상관없이, 누구에게나 할 수 있는 몫이 있습니다.
파트너 단체
새로운 일을 시작하는 것이 아닙니다. 이곳 노스쇼어와 그 너머에서 수년째 이 일을 해 온 이들을 뒤에서 돕는 것입니다.
Refuge and support for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
Mary’s House runs a refuge with secure accommodation for up to four women and their children at a time, and a Community Programs Centre, where specialist social workers walk alongside women as they rebuild safe, independent lives. It is primarily community funded.

Crisis accommodation and support for women experiencing domestic violence and homelessness.
HKWS offers women crisis accommodation for up to three months, with personal case management and help with health, legal, education and employment. In 2025 it provided 1,584 bed nights, and $300 provides two nights of secure accommodation.

Life-long recovery for survivors of modern slavery in Australia.
Australia’s only long-term, wraparound care provider for survivors of modern slavery, through its trauma-informed Survivor School and employment pathways. It receives no government funding; its work is made possible by donors and its own social enterprises.

Support for vulnerable and homeless young people aged 12 to 24, and their families.
Since 1976 Taldumande has supported young people in crisis across Greater Sydney, with over 70 children and young people in residence on any given night. On Serve Sunday we will be rolling up our sleeves on practical projects at their sites.

A hand up for people facing financial hardship in the Hornsby Shire.
Every Wednesday Hornsby Connect provides $15 hampers of pantry staples, fresh produce and bakery items, alongside a cafe space, referrals and support. Established in 2016 by local residents, it runs on volunteers, donors and food rescue partners.

Connecting the community and reducing social isolation since 1972.
In the heart of Crows Nest, the Centre runs in-home and centre-based services for older people, people with a disability, migrants, parents, and people who are homeless or at risk. Its staff work alongside more than 200 volunteers.

Hope and support for prisoners, former prisoners and their families.
For 45 years Prison Fellowship has shared the hope of Jesus with prisoners and their families, through visits, chaplaincy, in-prison programs, post-release support and Angel Tree Christmas gifts for prisoners’ children. Serve Sunday teams will help prepare and pack for the season ahead.
