Hebrews 10: 24-25 – And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We heard this verse in our recent series about the significance of the church and the reasons why it is so important to God. It helped to remind me, that WE are the church. Church is when we gather together and intentionally build relationship with one another in God.
Recently I have gone through a tough trial in my life. As difficult as it has been, I have experienced the power of God’s church like never before. Having put my hand up for help, my brothers have gathered around me and by the grace of God have pulled me out of the hole I found myself in. In these moments I experienced the power of fellowship and journeying with like-minded men and women.
I know that I am not alone in this. We all face trials of many kinds, but as men we generally turn inward as we see our struggles as a weakness.
To the guys – let me encourage you to move into community with the brothers at Northside. We need each other to help us understand God’s truths in order to become the men he has called us to be.
For all of us, who can you reach out to in this community called the church? If you are doing well, who can you be keeping an eye out for?
