You are amazing, beautiful, remarkable, brilliant and loved!
Northside Kids finished off term two in the best possible way: attaching tags, with the message above, to kid-made chocolate spoons. We spent the morning looking at how Jesus changes the way I help others FAMILIES COORDINATOR and as a practical application we made a little something for the amazing Caring Beyond team to take to Alexander Campbell House.
Initially the kids were confused about why they weren’t able to make their chocolate and eat it too. However, by the end of the morning they were creating a myriad of beautiful drawings and writing little notes containing heart-warming messages such as:
You are loved!
Save this for when you’re sad
Love Northside Kids
Love comes from the heart and soul God loves you
June saw Northside Kids investigating Faith, learning that faith is believing that what Jesus did can change me. At Northside Kids the leaders and I desire to have the kids not only take in a God-filled message but learn how to take the next step and live it out in their lives, learning how it can change us for the better.
In John 13:35 Jesus declares, “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” People will see who we follow by our loving behaviour. Putting our faith in Jesus into action will change the way we take initiative to help those in need.
I’m looking forward to hearing how this small gesture has impacted the kids of Northside, the Caring Beyond team and the residents of Alexander Campbell House. How can you show those around you that they are amazing, beautiful, remarkable, brilliant and loved, this week?
