It is always a privilege to be used by God to share His hope, joy and love to those around us. Northside has many partnerships with an opportunity for us to help alongside others from our church family. Here’s a snapshot of how you can be involved:
Glebe: Come and connect with the housing commission residents through gardening, conversations, BBQ’s and helping with the op shop. It’s on the last Saturday morning of each month.
Caring Beyond: Ever underestimated the significance your conversation can have with an older person? Come along to chat with the residents of Alexander Campbell House in Forestville every second Saturday of the month.
Outreach to Muslim communities run an Alpha course: if these areas are of interest we’d love to talk more.
Care Packages – Kids in February: Our Northside Kids will be putting together Care packs and here are the items we’ll be needing before February 21st: mini hand sanitiser, snack packs (eg fruit, nuts, crackers), small packets of tissues, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, lip balm, small body lotion.
Bathurst: Join our team going to Bathurst each month for a Friday night to connect with Indigenous and local youth. We’re excited about the relationships we’re building so we’ll also take a couple of full weekend trips throughout the year.
Madagascar: We’re looking to take a team over this year around September and in the process of finalising some details. More information to come, but register your interest now. Or check out http://thrivemadagascar.org.au/ (CSM recently became known as Thrive Madagascar)
Operation Christmas Child: Such a powerful opportunity to impact lives across the world at this time of year. We’re going to need a team to set this initiative up and run it this year.
COCOA Great Gifts: The privilege to give a gift that keeps on giving, enriching lives across the world as we support development and aid projects through COCOA.
We are always keen to hear how we can link you in to the ways God is moving through our Northside family as we partner with communities here and around the world. Contact Sarah for more information on how to be a part of it: [email protected].
