What is Be Rich?
Be Rich is simple. We give, we serve, and we love the people right outside our front door. This spring we’re getting behind five local organisations who are already doing the hard, good work in our neighbourhoods, with our money and with our hands.
Right now, the way in is giving. Give financially to the work of our three giving partners, with a single gift or a monthly one. You don’t have to be part of Northside to join in.
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
Your giving goes to support the work of three organisations caring for women and children in crisis and survivors of modern slavery, close to home. A single gift or a monthly one, whatever you can do.
Our partners
We’re not starting something new. We’re backing people who have been at this for years, right here on the North Shore and beyond.
Refuge and support for women and children escaping domestic abuse.
Mary’s House runs a safe house and a day service on Sydney’s lower North Shore, walking with women and children through crisis and out the other side. Your giving keeps beds available and support workers on the ground.

Crisis accommodation for women facing homelessness in our own backyard.
HKWS gives women in crisis a safe place to sleep and a case worker to help them rebuild, right here in Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai. Your giving funds the nights of accommodation that make the rest possible.

Life-long recovery for survivors of modern slavery in Australia.
The Freedom Hub walks with survivors of modern slavery as they rebuild their lives, through its trauma-informed Survivor School and pathways into lasting work. It receives no government funding, so your giving goes straight into that recovery.

Crisis care and housing for young people across northern Sydney.
Taldumande supports young people aged 12 to 24 who are homeless or at risk, along with their families. On Serve Sunday we will be rolling up our sleeves on practical projects at their sites.

Care for prisoners, ex-prisoners and the families they leave behind.
Prison Fellowship supports people in prison and the children and partners on the outside, including through the Angel Tree Christmas program. Serve Sunday teams will help prepare and pack for the season ahead.
