The Conference Centre have had a very busy last quarter in the year and I am so pleased to be able to report to our congregation that our results for the first half of the financial year are above budget.
One of the major conferences that we hosted to in November was the Future Leaders Conference organised by the Associations Forum. Delegates from a variety of not for profit associations attended over two days, which included a cocktail party at the end of the first day. The conference started in the Auditorium with plenary sessions and three major break out areas that took over our entire venue including the reception area. Here is some heart warming feedback we received:
“Many thanks for being such delightful hosts and for being so easy to work
with! We appreciated all your support, assistance and advice and loved working with
the Northside team.”
“Thank you so much for all your help! The conference went really well and
we were so happy to have had the opportunity to hold the event at Northside. You,
Annie and all the Northside team were absolutely fantastic to work with and we really
appreciate how you went above and beyond for us. We really hope that you are able
to get some business out of it, as I spoke to a number of people [delegates] who said
how great the venue is.”
It is humbling to come to work each day knowing that we are serving and delivering the vision of Northside Community Church, to ‘build the community to serve our community’. Both Annie and I see this as such a privilege and we love what we do. As we focus this vision in our hearts, the 14 or 15 hour days just melt away as we see people being blessed by our service and learn that we are a church. It is also fitting to thank our numerous casual Conference staff, who have partnered with us all through the year to deliver such amazing service to all our Conference clients. Thanks also go to our admin staff that help with manning the phones as we go about busily serving our clients.
As the year comes to a close, we ask our congregation to give praise to God for His Conference Ministry, the opportunity to continue to serve in 2015 and for His great blessings for each and everyone that walks through those glass doors. Annie and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
